When is the season?

Fall Season - Practices typically begin in late August. Games start in early September and run through the end of October or the beginning of November.
Spring Season - Practices typically begin in late March. Games start in April and run through the end of May or the beginning of June.

How often are games?

We play 8 games in the fall and 8 games in the spring. Four games are home and four games are away each season.
Games may be scheduled on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The schedule varies from weekend to weekend—some weekends may have no games, while others may have one or two games.
Teams also generally participate in one tournament each season. Tournament weekends typically include three guaranteed games over Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility of one or two additional games if the team advances to the playoff rounds.

Where are the games played?

PPSC plays in the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA) district of Wisconsin. You can visit the MAYSA website to see the 40 plus clubs we may play against.
The closest clubs to us are Dodgeville and Mount Horeb. Most other clubs are located approximately one to one-and-a-half hours away, including those in the Madison area, Monroe, Oregon, Belleville, Sun Prairie, DeForest, River Valley, and other surrounding communities.

When are practices and how long do they last?

Teams practice twice per week for 1 to 1.5 hours each practice.
Younger U-ages typically practice shortly after school, while the older middle schoolers typically practice a bit later as many kids are in school sports or other activities that take place immediately after school.
Practice days and times are determined after teams are formed and are based on coach and field availability.

What are player expectations for practices and games?

Players are expected to attend practices and games regularly. However, we understand that many children participate in other school sports and activities, such as boy or girls scouts, dance, family events and other commitments, which may occasionally cause them to miss a practice or game.
Communication is key. Players and families should notify coaches when a player will be absent, and coaches will communicate important team updates to families.
The Playmetrics platform we use is a wonderful tool for registration, team communication, practice and game schedules and more.

What are the required purchases?

Club uniform kit – A two-jersey set (red and black), ordered through the club, costs approximately $90. Jerseys can be reused each year until the player outgrows them.

Player equipment – Black shorts, black socks, shin guards, and cleats must be purchased separately.

Soccer card deposit – A $50 deposit is collected during registration. This amount can be earned back in the spring through our annual soccer card fundraiser by selling five cards at $10 each.
Annual registration fee – Fees vary by age group (U-level).
