Our History |
The Platteville Power Soccer Club was founded in 1987 to provide area players with a chance to play soccer at various competitive levels.
|
Our Players |
Our youth players come from Platteville and the surrounding communities and they range in age from 7 to 19 years of age. They are placed on age and skill appropriate teams with respect to registrations received during the two registration periods. The June/summer registration is the main registration period for the ensuing year (fall and spring seasons) and the January/spring registration time is secondary for the spring only season; however, new player registrations are accepted throughout the year and team placement is based on appropriate roster availability.
|
Our Season |
Our club soccer year has a fall season (late August through late October/early November) and a spring season (late March through early June). Players typically have two practices a week for 1-1.5 hours. There are 8 games each season - half are home and half typically in the Madison area. Games are typically held on Saturdays and Sundays.

PPSC Fees |
Player registration fees, and one mandatory PPSC fundraiser, pay for:
Families/players are responsible for their player’s soccer shoes, shin guards, socks and shorts in the requested Club’s color, and a ball for practices. Each player will purchase the team jerseys - two jerseys, each a different color for home or away distinction. Jerseys can be worn for multiple seasons and do not need to be purchased each year. Families/players may be asked to pay extra if their child’s team wants to play in additional tournaments beyond what is funded/supported by our Club. PPSC typically accommodates two tournaments per year per team with the tournament registration fee paid out of PPSC’s registration fees and the Value Card fundraiser profits. Individual teams that wish to participate in more than the club supported tournament allowance in a year typically ask their players/families to contribute extra if their child will be playing in that additional tournament. The current player registration fees and jersey purchase information can be found HERE in their respective sections. |
PPSC Fundraiser |
We have a mandatory fund raiser that all members are to participate in. This fundraiser consists of the selling of Value Cards that include promotions at area businesses.
We offer an incentive program, Bonus Dollars, to reward players who may wish to sell additional Value Cards beyond the required amount and earn back cash; that is, money paid to each player/family based on the number of cards sold. We encourage players/families to sell additional cards as this helps to keep our basic registration fees reasonably priced. The current fundraiser information can be found on the PPSC website in its respective section. |
